RR Head Coach Slams Players After the DC Loss: The Rajasthan Royals got defeated twice in the last two matches, and Head Coach Kumar Sangakkara isn’t happy about that. After the DC match slipped away from their hands after a couple of umpiring blunders, the RR coach slammed his own players for making ‘too many casual errors’.

RR coach was talking in the post-match presser.
“It’s challenging. We’ve had a fantastic start to the season; a few bumps along the way, but that’s how the competition works. You must be at the top of your game. We seem to be making far too many casual errors, in my opinion,” Kumar Sangakkara said.
Sangakkara was impressed with the spinners for being superior in the game but also slammed the bowlers for giving away ‘few extra runs’. The Sri Lankan legend also thinks that chasing 202 down wouldn’t have been a mammoth task if there weren’t too many dot balls in the game.
“Execution is the key. While bowling, you must strive to bring your side back by saving a boundary. I felt that we bowled superbly throughout this match, particularly Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal, who once again proved their superiority.
“But I think we gave a few extra runs. Good batting at the end by Tristan Stubbs and (Jake) Fraser-McGurk at the top. However, even with 220, we could’ve won the game, he continued.”
After initial troubles, a stunning captain’s innings by Sanju Samson and a mid-over beating by Ryan Parag brought RR back to the game. But a controversial decision by the TV umpire sent the RR captain off, and that turned the course of the game.
“We did not have a great powerplay, but Sanju and Riyan brought us back into the game. Shubham Dubey was also fantastic. Just there were too many dot balls, which cost us the game. We’ve got a great side, but need to be disciplined throughout the game,” the legendary southpaw opined.
In their next game, RR will meet the Chennai Super Kings in Chepauk on May 12.
