RP Singh Picks India XI for T20 World Cup: Former cricketer RP Singh picked India’s probable XI for the T20 World Cup 2024. The 2007 T20 World Cup winner picked both Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant to be in the XI after their incredible form in IPL 2024.
Sanju Samson showed off his batting prowess along with his leadership skills in the IPL this season. The RR captain is also the most skilled wicketkeeper in the country currently. Pant, after coming from a horrible accident, showed off to the world what he was capable of with some good innings.

RP Singh wants Sanju Samson at No. 3, as the RR captain thrived in that role in IP. The former left-arm fast-medium bowler has Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to open the innings. While he put Suryakumar Yadav at No. 4, he placed Pant at 5.
“In my opinion, Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant should be included in the starting lineup. Sanju’s impressive performance in IPL 2024 suggests he could excel at number 3. I believe Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma should open the batting. Sanju Samson at number 3. You could then play Suryakumar Yadav at 4, Rishabh Pant at 5, and Hardik Pandya at 6. Of course, the final team combination will depend on the captain and coach’s decision. This batting lineup would be an effective one for the team.
Hardik Pandya’s inclusion in the T20 XI raised a lot of eyebrows after the MI captain’s abysmal performance in the IPL 2024. But RP Singh thinks Pandya’s commitment and dedication will help India in the World Cup.
“As a player, commitment and strong performances are very crucial. Hardik Pandya showed his dedication, giving his all even in the IPL. He was bowling an entire spell of 4 overs. His form will be pivotal for the team’s balance. If he can find his rhythm early on, it will greatly benefit the squad.”
