Manchester United legend Roy Keane slammed French star Kylian Mbappe for wasting time on the match. Keane was referring to France’s 1-0 win against Austria in their inaugural match in Euro 2024.

Kylian Mbappe was injured after the player bumped his nose on the shoulder of Austrian defender Kevin Danso. Mbappe instantly started to bleed and was taken to the touchline. The player again returned to the pitch but sat on the grass, which interrupted the match for some time. Keane wasn’t pleased with this behavior and called it ‘not good gamesmanship’
Keane was speaking to ITV
“He gets an injury, obviously it’s frustrating he’s gone back on the pitch. Whether he’s trying to stop the play… but he’s gone on to sit on the pitch. I don’t like to see this, this is out of order. Listen, whether he’s been instructed by the manager to go back, he’s obviously had treatment, he’s come off.
“I don’t mind he’s gone back on the pitch, I know players can make mistakes. But to go back on and sit on the pitch, he deserved that yellow card. I don’t like to see it. No, it’s not (good gamesmanship).”

Mbappe Will Be Out Against Netherlands
Mbappe will not be playing in France’s upcoming match against the Netherlands. The player will be under treatment but will not be undergoing surgery for now. He is expected to return in their third match against Poland on June 25.
