Ronaldo Wants to Reach 1000-goal Tally: Cristiano Ronaldo is upfront when you check the chart of the most amount of goals scored by a player in competitive football in the history of the sport. The 39-year-old is just a goal away from completing the 900-goal mark. The player has achieved everything in his unparalleled career. But his sheer determination and passion for the sport make him crave more and more.
It’s very difficult to get you motivated every morning to go and train and to play at the highest level on your bad side of the 35. The Portuguese global superstar does it every single day, even with more enthusiasm than young players who are in their twenties. In fact, this is the reason he sits at the top above everyone.
The most followed footballer in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo, started his YouTube channel a week ago that went on to break every record the giant video company had in their history. His channel, UR Cristiano, has reached more than 50 million followers in a week’s time. In the latest video posted on the channel, Cristiano sits with his buddy from Manchester United, Rio Ferdinand, and gets candid about his professional and personal life.

Cristiano Ronaldo Wants to Reach 1000-goal Tally
During the discussion, Ronaldo dropped his goal on the field ahead to become the first player to reach the momentous 1,000-goal tally.
“Soon I will do 900, and after that it will be 1,000,” said the determined Ronaldo.
A stunned Rio asked him back in his usual tone, “F****** hell, how old you going be then?”
Ronaldo answered, “41, I don’t know. If I don’t have injuries, that is most important, I want that.”
CR7 went on talking, and now he threw some shade on other top scorers in world football like Pele, Di Stefano, etc. in terms of the proof of goals.
“My challenge is to reach 1,000 goals, with one difference—all the goals that I score will have video. So I can prove that.”
Ronaldo’s dig cracked Ferdinand up. He swore at his friend, laughing.
“You’re a b******. You’re talking about [Alfredo] Di Stefano, you’re talking about Pele, you’re talking about Eusebio.”
Ronaldo, putting the jokes aside, said that he respects all of them, with more puns on the way.
“I respect all of them. My goals [will be on video]. If you want more goals, I can bring them from the training too, so no problem.
According to the World Guinness Record, Pele has scored 1,279 goals in his career. But a lot of them were non-competitive goals in friendly matches and at junior levels. As per the latest rule, the goals that you score at the competitive senior level will only be counted. So by this rule, Pele’s goal numbers would end at 757 (680 for the club and 77 for Brazil).
Even at the age of 60, Cristiano Ronaldo is in blistering form, scoring over 60 goals last season, ending as the world’s top scorer. So if CR7 went on to touch the magical 1000-goal mark, no one would be surprised.
