Cristiano Ronaldo Breaks World Record With YouTube: Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo is not only one of the most popular athletes in the world but also one of the most popular people on this planet. His numbers on social media, while not as impressive as his on-field exploits, are still mind-boggling.
The Portuguese superstar has a whopping 636 million followers on Instagram, which is the most for an individual and only second behind Instagram’s own page. He also has 170 million followers on Facebook and 112.6 million on X. Suffice it to say, he is one of the most popular people in the world.

The 39-year-old can now add another feather to his cap of social media records. Ronaldo recently took to all his social media platforms to announce the launch of his YouTube channel, ‘UR Cristiano’.
“The wait is over. My @YouTube channel is finally here! SIUUUbscribe and join me on this new journey,” he tweeted.
With CR7 launching a YouTube channel, it was sure to get his fans pumped. And pumped his fans did when they clicked the subscribe button. The Al-Nassr star now has the record for having the fastest YouTube channel to reach 1 million subscribers, which he did within hours of his announcement.
Cristiano has now posted a video of himself with the YouTube ‘gold play button’, something a creator receives from Google after reaching the 1 million subs mark.
Not only that, but the most followed football star on social media also crossed the 10 million subscriber mark within 24 hours, an even more impressive record. The record for 10 million subs on the platform was previously held by ‘Hamster Kombat’, who reached the mark in seven days.
The ‘UR Cristiano’ YouTube channel has posted 12 videos in the last 24 hours, with all of them varying in content style. There is a teaser for a quiz show with his partner Georgina Rodriguez, while some other videos are motivational; some show off his family, while others focus on his career highlights.
At the age of 39, Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most prolific goal-scorers in the world in the Saud Pro League. For Al-Nassr, he scored 44 goals in 45 matches last season and looks like he will stay in playing form well into his 40s.
