Nadal who turned 38 hasn’t been playing for a while due to injuries. He announced his retirement by posting an emotional video on social media.

The major one among them is football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. The 39-year-old all-time great commented on Nadal’s retirement post and called him an inspiration to the millions.
“Rafa, what an incredible race you’ve had! Your dedication, passion and incredible talent have inspired millions around the world,” Ronaldo commented on Nadal’s post.
The Spanish legend’s long-time rival and friend Roger Federer also committed under Nadal’s Instagram post
“What a career, Rafa! I always hoped this day would never come. Thank you for the unforgettable memories and all your incredible achievements in the game we love.”
Australian tennis player Nicholas Kyrgios begged Rafa not to retire on his post on X.

Nadal who owns a record of 22 Grand Slams in tennis, just 2 behind the leading Novak Djokovic, is considered one of the greatest tennis players ever lived on earth. The 38-year-old also 2 Olympic gold medals and 36 ATP 1000 titles to illuminate his shelves of honors.
