Rohit Sharma Wants More Trophies With India: Indian captain Rohit Sharma is one of the most decorated captains in the IPL. Winning 5 IPL titles as a captain, Rohit shares the record for the most titles with former CSK captain MS Dhoni. But when it comes to the international stage, Rohit has been in a drought of trophies until the 2024 T20 World Cup triumph.
Rohit Sharma Wants More Trophies With India
Winning his first ICC trophy doesn’t quench his thirst for winning more. In fact, according to Rohit, it increases even more as you ‘taste the success’ once. The Indian captain says he is on the hunt for more. Rohit was talking on the stage of the CEAT Tyre Awards.
“I won five IPL titles as a captain of Mumbai Indians, and I am not going to stop, as when you taste the success of winning trophies and games, you want to carry on for a long time with the team. We will be gunning for more Cups in the future,” Rohit Sharma said at the awards ceremony.
Winning trophies doesn’t end the challenges that come ahead. They always keep coming. It’s important to not get swayed away by success.
“We have big tours coming up, and things will be challenging for us. It never stops for us. Once you achieve something, you always want more. That is what I will be doing as a captain and player. I am sure that my teammates are thinking the same. There is real excitement among the players, and we have played really good cricket in the last two years,” he added.

Rohit Sharma also heaped praise on former coach Rahul Dravid, selector-in-chief Ajit Agarkar, and BCCI secretary Jay Shah. He called them his three pillars and thanked them for creating a positive environment on the team.
“I want to thank my three pillars, Rahul Dravid, Ajit Agarkar, and Jay Shah, for creating an environment where players can feel free and express themselves on the field. These three were instrumental in our journey to the World Cup in the West Indies and the USA. I got a lot of help from them during the event,” Rohit Sharma said.
“Players were clinical in the tournament, and it was important for us to celebrate after winning the trophy. We enjoyed the moment, and I want to thank the people of our country for celebrating with us,” he added.
