While the loss to GT was routine, the loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad was noteworthy due to SRH breaking the record for most runs in an IPL innings when they scored 277. MI’s loss against Rajasthan Royals too was shameful, as the side scored the lowest total in IPL 2024 so far 125.

A recent report by News24 states that an anonymous MI player has revealed that Rohit Sharma is not happy with Hardik Pandya’s captaincy so far, which is causing friction within the team. This feeling is compounded the the scrutiny and criticism the team has to face for being bottom of the table.
The source revealed how the two have been arguing behind the scenes a lot, and that is creating a poor atmosphere in the dressing room. This friction might result in Sharma departing the franchise after the season concludes.
These tensions were on full display during MI’s opening match of the season against GT, where the two senior players were seen having heated arguments on the field.
