Rohit Sharma Lauds Yashaswi Jaiswal: Indian skipper Rohit Sharma lauded the young opener, Yashaswi Jaiswal, ahead of the India vs New Zealand Test series. The first match of the series is about to start at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on October 16.
Yashaswi Jaiswal has been incredible in red-ball cricket ever since the youngster wore the mighty white of the Indian national cricket team. The 22-year-old has been partnering well with the captain, Rohit Sharma, to give good momentum for the country right from the start. His contribution to the recently culminated Tes series against Bangladesh has been tremendous. He scored quickfire fifties in both innings of the second Test, which enabled India to win a match that otherwise was going toward a tie.

In the pre-match presser before the New Zealand Test, the hitman sat in front of the media and answered the questions about Yashaswi Jaiswal. Rohit sees the ‘ingredients’ that Jaiswal has in his pocket.
“He’s a real talent. He has got the game to play in all sorts of conditions. He’s still new, so it’s hard to judge. But he’s got all the ingredients. He has come through the ranks and has succeeded. That’s why he’s playing for India,” Rohit Sharma said during the pre-match press conference (RevSportz Global posted on X).
After the incredible win in the second Test match, which was due to the pure positive intent of the captain and the team, Rohit said that the decisions of how to approach the match will be taken based on the conditions during the match.
“We’ll see how the days pan out. Then we will take a call. In Kanpur, we didn’t get the game on two days and then decided to go for the win. I don’t know what it is going to be here. We’ll see what lies ahead of us and then take a call. We want to try and win games,” Rohit added.
