Rohit Sharma And Ravindra Jadeja Score 100 Vs Eng: It was Day 1 of India’s 3rd Test of the five-match series against England and the hosts ruled the date with the bat. Skipper Rohit Sharma scored a solid ton, and so did hometown boy Ravindra Jadeja. Someone who also impressed was debutant Sarfaraz Khan.
The match is being played in Rajkot’s Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium. This is a batting-friendly ground with flat pitches and short boundaries making it a batter’s heaven.
However, that did not seem like the case at the start of the day India lost 3 wickets for 33 runs. Hero of the 2nd Test Yashasvi Jaiswal looked impressive with two boundaries but was dismissed for 10 by an on-fire Mark Wood. Shubman Gill, who scored a ton in the last match was then dismissed for a duck by Wood. Then, Rajat Patidar lost his wicket for 5 soon after.
Then walked in Ravindra Jadeja at #5, who then undertook the task of stabilising the innings along with captain Sharma. The two stitched together a 204-run partnership for the 4th wicket. In the process, The Hitman scored his 11th Test ton and 3rd against England.

Rohit Sharma was dismissed on 131 by none other than Mark Wood, picking his third wicket of the day. Ravindra Jadeja was on 84 when debutant Sarfaraz Khan walked in.
The 26-year-old was challenged by Mark Wook in some of his first balls in international cricket, but when the spinners came into the game, Khan dominated, scoring boundaries all over the park and playing aesthetically pleasing backfoot shots.
Sarfaraz completed his 50 in just 48 balls and was on 62 when Jadeja reached 99. For the last few overs, Jaddu seemed to have gone into a shell, with Sarfaraz helping him out with some good running between the wickets.
At 99, Jadeja pushed the ball towards mid-off and called for a run, but called back to refuse when Mark Wood picked the ball up. Sarfaraz Khan was way out of the crease and had no shot at making back as Wood struck the stumps.
Kuldeep Yadav was then sent in as the night watchman and Ravindra Jadeja reached his 100. The day ended with India being on 326/5, with Jadeja and Kuldeep being not out on 110 and 1 run respectively.
