Rohit Gives Best Bater Award to Sky and Ryan: Former MI skipper and current opener Rohit Sharma gave the best batter award of the team to India’s T20I captain Suryak and South African batter Ryan Rickelton.

Ryan Rickleton (58/32) and Suryakumar Yadav (54/28) shone with batting fifties, and Mumbai Indians gave LSG a target of 215. Replying that the visitors could only reach 161 runs, MI waved the winning flag in front of thousands at Wankhede. LSG captain Rishabh Pant continued his awful form by scoring just 4 runs off 2 balls. Pant couldn’t justify his nametag as the most expensive player in the IPL on the ground.

Giving the best batter of the award to Ryan and Surya in the dressing room, Rohit Sharma applauded both the batters.
“When it comes to our batting, think we always talk about laying the foundation and then finishing off from that foundation which has been laid. So I thought the foundation laid by Ryan was superb. So Ryan” (went on and gave the giving the best batter award to Ryan Rickelton).
“Carrying from that foundation, getting you to that total, great hand there by Surya,” said Rohit before giving Suryakumar Yadav the award“
After receiving the award, both batters talked to the dressing room, starting with Surya.
“Surya, let’s enjoy this evening again, and let’s keep hustling,” said Suryakumar.
The next turn was of Ryan Rickleton, and the player was happy to contribute to the team.
“Obviously always stoked to contribute to the team, to contribute to Mumbai Indians, and obviously to win for the group is great. Yeah, well, that’s everyone. Let’s keep it going.”
