Riyan Parag Gets Annoyed On Sanju Samson Question: Rajasthan Royals stand-in captain Riyan Parag was visibly annoyed when he was asked about Sanju Samson’s injury update. Parag was speaking to the media ahead of the RR vs MI fixture, which will take place at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.
Sanju Samson has not played for RR for the last few games due to a side injury he picked up against Delhi Capitals on April 16. He was retired hurt during the match, and Riyan Parag has been captaining the Royals ever since.
Samson’s return has been a talking point since then, as RR’s shambolic form had continued until the last game, in which the 14-year-old sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal made RR taste a much-needed win.

Riyan Parag Gets Annoyed On Sanju Samson Question
In an interview published by India Today, when Parag was asked about Samson’s injury update, he was visibly not entertained by the question. Nor did his words give any clarity behind the former’s return.
“We are taking it game by game. I think he has started knocking now. We will see after tonight’s practice, and then we can give you a clear idea.”
Surprisingly, Riyan’s answer was similar to coach Rahul Dravid, who spoke about Samson ahead of RR’s last match. There are already speculations among fans about the unrest in RR’s dressing room, due to the promotion of Parag as captain, even when more deserving people are in the squad.
Fans also brought up Riyan’s family relationship in RR management. Ranjit Barthakur, who is the executive chairman of Royal Multisport Pvt Ltd. (which owns RR), is related to Riyan Parag’s family. Riyan’s father, Parag Das, is the brother-in-law of Ranjit Barthakur.
RR will face the in-form Mumbai Indians in their 11th match of the season in Jaipur. Being in 8th place on the table, the franchise is mathematically out of the competition unless some miracle happens.
