Rishabh Pant to Play 100 Matches For DC: Rishabh Pant will be reaching a major milestone tonight as he will be playing in his 100th match for Delhi Capitals as the side takes on Rajasthan Royals.
Pant, who is the captain of the side, made his IPL debut in 2016. In his fifth season, he was named the captain of the side.
Tonight, when Delhi Capitals will take on Rajasthan Royals in their second match in IPL 2024, Pant will become the first player in the history of the Delhi franchise in the league to play 100 matches.

The 26-year-old was put out of action in December 2022 following a gruesome car accident. After 15 months of heavy-duty rehab, he made his return to cricket in IPL 2024. He will now play his 100th match in the league, having played all of them for the same franchise.

Currently, on 99 games for Delhi Capitals, Pant is not the only player with this many games for the side in IPL, as Amit Mishra too has 99 games for the franchise. But when the wicketkeeper-batter will take the field against Rajasthan Royal in Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium tonight, Pant will surpass Mishra and will complete a century of matches for the team.
Team captain since 2021, Rishabh Pant has scored 2856 runs in 99 matches in the IPL with an average of 34.41 and an elite strike rate of 147.9. This includes 15 half-centuries and his high score of 128.
Pant also has 65 catches and 19 stumpings as a wicketkeeper in the league for the joint-fifth most dismissals by a wicketkeeper in the league with 81.
Delhi Capitals, after losing their opening match of IPL 2024 against the Punjab Kings, will look to redeem themselves when they take on Rajasthan Royals tonight, March 28.
