Ravindra Jadeja Refused to Answer in English: The Australian media have accused Indian star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja of “refusing” to answer questions in English.
Jadeja attended a brief media event with the journalists at the MCG on Saturday after India’s training session, where he answered questions in only Hindi. This left the Australian journalists irked.
The local reporters had a quarrel with the Indian media manager.
Ravindra Jadeja Refused to Answer in English
Ravindra Jadeja was said to be half an hour late and talked with the Indian journalists for a few minutes before leaving.
Calling it an “annoying situation,” a report in 7News said,
“India’s Ravindra Jadeja faced reporters but the Australian media were bemused and confused when the star allrounder refused to answer questions in English.”
Later, the Indian team’s media manager stated that the conference was for “travelling Indian media only”, even though Australian media was invited, claimed 7News. Some of the Indian journalists on social media have debunked this report from the Australia media, claiming the the questions were asked by only Indian journalists in Hindi and hence, Jadeja responded in Hindi.

An Indian journalist claimed it was a “rubbish report” and slammed the Australian media for “always trying to stir an unnecessary controversy.”
This incident happened a couple of days after Virat Kohli had a run-in with a female report at the Melbourne airport where Kohli lost his cool over a “misunderstanding” at the apparent filming of his children. Kohli was seen asking for privacy when around with his kids.
Meanwhile, the series is levelled at 1-1 after three Tests. India won the first Test in Perth by 295 runs but went down by 10 wickets in Adelaide. The Brisbane Test ended in a draw with rain playing spoilsport and affecting a major part of the match.
The fourth Test of the series will be played in Melbourne, where India recorded handsome victories in their last two Tests here. In 2018, Jasprit Bumrah was the hero with a first-innings six-wicket haul, while in 2020, Ajinkya Rahane registered a memorable century, perhaps the best of his career.
