The pace-bowling allrounder has scored 370 runs in 7 games at an average of 37.78, scoring three 50s in the process. He has also scalped 14 wickets.
As per the Rahul Dravid Does Not Coach His Son, In a recent discussion with broadcaster JioCinema, Rahul Dravid, who is currently managing the national team in a three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, commented on coaching his son, revealing he does not do that and gave a reason for it as well.
“I don’t coach my son Samit as it is difficult to play two roles (parent and coach). I am happy to be a father. I don’t know what I am doing in that role also,”
said Rahul Dravid.

In the ongoing finals of the Cooch Behar Trophy between Karnataka and Mumbai, Samit Dravid scalped two crucial wickets in the first innings against a dangerous Mumbai side. He first dismissed Ayush Vartak, who was batting at 73. He then took the wicket of Mumbai’s wicketkeeper Prateek Yadav.
At the stumps of day 2, Mumbai have been all-out for 380, while Karnataka is batting at 281/1, with opener Prakar Chaturvedi and no.3 batter Harshil Dharmani scoring centuries.
