PSG Fans Use Obsenities Against FC Barcelona: Paris Saint Germain fans have been preparing for their team’s UCL clash against FC Barcelona in a unique way, cruising out the opposition team ahead of the clash.
PSG took on Clermont in a Ligue contest yesterday. As the two teams drew the match 1-1, the fans of the Paris-based team started chanting “F*ck Barca! F*uck Barca!” in French.
PSG and FC Barcelona are both considered strong contenders for the UEFA Champions League. So naturally, their clash in the quarter-final of the competition has sparked up intensity among the two fan bases.

PSG and Barca have had some classics in the Champions League. While their last meeting in 2020/21 Rouund of 16 ended in a 5-2 win for the French club, the two teams’ clash in the 2016/17 Round of 16 had massive ramifications for the world of football.
That season, PSG defeated the Catalan side 4-0 in the first leg. As the score was 4-2 in the second leg going into stoppage time, Barca needed two goals to advance on aggregate. An they did in what was later named Le Ramontada (the comeback).
The two sides now face once more in the Champions League, this time in the quarter-finals. PSG reached here by finishing second in the Group of Death behind Borussia Dortmund and defeating Real Sociedad 4-1 on aggregate in the Round of 16. While Barcelona finished first in their group and then trounced defending Serie A champions Napoli 4-2 in the first knockout round.

With all this intensity in the air, PSG manager Luis Enrique has asked his team’s fans to respect FC Barcelona, his former team.
“I would like to see a great spectacle, a grand show between two great teams, with a spirit of sportsmanship prevailing. In sports, it’s like in life: we often win but we also lose a lot. I always respect all opponents, referees, and opposing players, as well as the families of opposing players because when mine is sad, the rival’s is happy. And I hope that Paris Saint Germain will win,” Enrique told PSG Talk.
Currently on top of the Ligue 1 table, PSG will be looking to win the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history. They will next take on FC Barcelona in the 1st leg of the UCL on April 10, followed by the 2nd leg on April 16.
