Pollard Calls Jasprit Bumrah Mufasa: The Mumbai Indians team welcomed their star pacer Jasprit Bumrah on the pitch with a heartwarming gesture. Bumrah had been out of cricket after meeting a horrible injury during India’s Australian tour in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Now that the fast bowler is cleared to play, their team welcomed him with heartfelt gestures. MI batting coach Kieron Pollard welcomed him by saying:
“Welcome, Mufasa.”
Pollard then went on to lift Bumrah up which led to laughter and applause from the rest of the team.

Bumrah’s absence proved costly for Mumbai Indians as the franchise lost 3 out of 4 matches they played this season. They started the season with a loss against their rivals Chennai Super Kings, by 4 wickets. Then they met the Gujarat Titans, and the result was no different. This time the loss was by 38 runs.
MI’s only win came in the next match when they went head-to-head with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders. MI thumped KKR for a whopping 8 wickets to start their account in the league. Hoping to continue the winning form, MI went to Lucknow to only get beaten by the home team by 12 runs.
With 2 points from 4 games, Mumbai Indians are on the lower end of the table, only CSK and SRH below them. Their next fixture, MI vs RCB, wll be held at the Wankhede Stadiumon April 7, Monday.
