But then, skipper Iyer finished the match off alongside Nehal Wadhera by seven wickets and nine balls to spare.
And with tonight’s win in the Punjab Kings vs Mumbai Indians match, the Kings have confirmed a place not only in the playoffs but in the top two, which means that rather than going into the Eliminator, this team will play in Qualifier 1 and will have two chances of making it to the final.
