Parthiv Patel Appointed As GT Assistant Coach: Parthiv Patel has been appointed as Gujarat Titans Assistant and Batting Coach ahead of the IPL 2025. The former Indian wicketkeeper-batter will assist the head coach, Ashish Nehra, in GT’s attempt to reclaim the title that they once had in 2022.

The 2023 IPL finalists revealed the news on Wednesday, November 13, saying:
“The Gujarat Titans are pleased to announce the appointment of Parthiv Patel as their new Assistant and Batting Coach. With a distinguished 17-year career as a former Indian wicketkeeper-batter, Parthiv brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team.”
“As the Titans prepare for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season, Parthiv’s insights into batting techniques and strategies will play a crucial role in enhancing the players’ skills. Parthiv, who is known for his sharp cricketing acumen and ability to mentor young talent, will strengthen the coaching staff and contribute to player development and performance,” the statement added.
Parthiv Patel has been capped in 139 IPL matches and has amassed nearly 3000 runs in the league. After his retirement in 2020, the keeper-batter has worked for the Mumbai Indians as a talent scout. He has also played for the franchise and also for Chennai Super Kings; both have 5 IPL titles in their bag.
The southpaw has 139 IPL matches under his belt, accumulating 2848 runs at a strike rate of over 120 and an average of 22.60. He also has 69 catches and 16 stumpings to his name. Parthiv announced his retirement from all forms of the game in 2020.
