Neymar Will Not Join Messi and Suarez: Neymar Jr. has been off the pitch for a while. The player, who secured a mind-blowing €90 million transfer to Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal, couldn’t really play much for the team following a brutal ankle injury.
The injury happened last October in a FIFA World Cup qualifier match against Uruguay. Neymar underwent surgery in Brazil in November and is not playing for the national team in the Copa America 2024.

Neymar was speculated to join Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at Inter Miami after the end of the season. But the star ruptured the gossip by admitting that he would love to play in the FIFA Club World Cup in 2025 with the Saudi side. Al Hilal qualified for the World Cup on the basis of their 2021 AFC Champions League win.
“It’s an honor for me to play in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, defending Al-Hilal. The best clubs in the world and the best athletes in the world will be there, and obviously, this is where Al Hilal and my teammates should be. The expectations for the tournament are huge, and I’m sure that we’ll be ready to represent our fans.”
The Neymar-less Brazil will face Costa Rica in their inaugural 2024 Copa America match at the SoFi Stadium in California on June 25.
