Neymar Given Best Transfer Advice
The Selecao magician is rumored to be joining Lionel Messi at MLS or going back to Brazilian club Santos, where he had played before joining Barcelona. Amid this, Santos president Marcelo Teixeira teased a transfer possibility, talking to ESPN.
“We can’t come out publicly saying that it will happen in January, in June. Right now, the fact is that anything can happen. As soon as anything happens, the parties are very close.”
Teixeira also advised Neymar that a move to his club would be perfect for Brazil’s 2026 FIFA World Cup preparations.
“You can see his joy; he himself says he is at home here. This is a favorable and positive factor for Santos, for him, and for Brazilian football. He is happy, joyful. I believe that, for Neymar, if this happens, it could be the best preparation for the World Cup.
