Naveen ul Haq comments on Sweet Mangoes post: Months after the IPL 2023, Lucknow Super Giants’ Afghanistan international Naveen-ul-Haq came up with a clarification on a sensational issue that had caused a stir on social media.
Context
It was in the 2023 IPL that this incident happened. When Virat Kohli lost his wickets after scoring just a run in a match against the Mumbai Indians, Naveen took on the X and posted a picture captioning ‘Sweet Mangoes’.
As both players had a heated argument before the incident, fans assumed that the comment was a target for Virat Kohli. This caused Naveen to suffer a lot of social media backlash at the time.
Naveen ul Haq comments on Sweet Mangoes post: What Did He Say?
In a recent interview with LSG, Naveen opened up about the incident. He said that the post was not at all aimed at the RCB star, and the reason behind the mango comment is just that he was having a mango while posting it.
“I asked Dhawal (Kulkarni) Bhai when he would get mangoes for me, as it was the season. He brought mangoes for me on that very day when MI was up against RCB. I was watching the game and put up a random post, and the picture I put did not even have Virat in it. My post showed Mumbai Indians players.”
