Mustafizur, who was recently signed by CSK in the IPL 2024 auction, suffered severe cramps during the match in Chattogram. Despite claiming two wickets for 39 runs in 9 overs, he encountered discomfort in the 42nd over, clutching his stomach and falling to the ground.
Although he attempted to continue bowling in the 48th over, Mustafizur was unable to complete the first delivery and had to be replaced by Soumya Sarkar.
This incident occurred during Mustafizur’s first match in the series, as he was brought in as a replacement for Tanzim Hasan Sakib. There has been no update from the Bangladesh cricket team regarding Mustafizur’s condition, who was expected to join the CSK camp after the match.
