MS Dhoni Spotted Bowling In Nets For CSK: Chennai Super Kings recently took to social media to post a video of MS Dhoni bowling in the nets, sparking rumors of him potentially throwing a few deliveries against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
CSK will take on RCB in Match 68 of the IPL 2024, the most high-profile and high-stakes match of the tournament so far. To be played on Saturday, May 18 in Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium, this match will determine the fourth and final team to qualify for the playoffs.
CSK is currently fourth on the league table with 14 points in 13 matches. They have had a mediocre but consistent tournament so far. Compare that to RCB, who lost seven out of eight of their initial matches this season before miraculously winning the next five to come back in contention for a top-four finish. The Royal Challengers are currently sixth on the table with 12 points in 13 games.

The importance and stature of this game have grown in magnitude with the fact that this might just be MS Dhoni’s last game of cricket. For a few seasons now, rumours of Dhoni retiring have come around every IPL. But this season, the 42-year-old gave up the team captaincy, suggesting this is his final season in the IPL.

Ahead of what might be the legendary wicketkeeper’s final game, CSK posted a video of Dhoni swinging his arm in the nets.
Dhoni has a staggering one wicket in international cricket since he bowled West Indies batsman Travis Dowlin in 2009.
The video has sparked rumors that MS Dhoni might just bowl an over or two in what might be his last-ever game of cricket.
Notably, Adam Gilchrist also bowled an over in his last ever IPL game in 2013 for the Kings XI Punjab. He even dismissed Harbhajan Singh to take his first and only wicket in cricket.
Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play their final league game in IPL 2024 on May 18. The result of this match will determine the final team to make it to the playoffs, joining the Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
