MS Dhoni seen limping in team hotel: The 43-year-old MS Dhoni turned the clock back to his heydays to bring Chennai Super Kings (CSK) back to winning ways with a powerful finish against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) that earned CSK only their second win of the season in seven games.
After the match, though, Dhoni, who is leading CSK in the absence of the injured Ruturaj Gaikwad, was seen limping in the hotel.
Dhoni has been copping criticism recently for failing to seal off run chases in recent seasons. However, against LSG, the CSK skipper managed to get his side over the line with a thunderous finish.
Chasing a target of 167 on a two-paced surface in Lucknow, CSK were in a pickle at 111/5 when MS Dhoni walked in to join Shivam Dube, who had been struggling for boundaries.
Then, Dhoni and Dube both managed to connect their shots against the LSG bowlers, including one sensational one-handed six by Dhoni off Shardul Thakur. Dhoni blasted 26* runs off 11 balls, which included four fours and a six, while Dube too remained unbeaten on 43 off 37. CSK won with three balls to spare.
This was their second win in seven outings. Despite the win, they stay at the 10th position in the points table. CSK will need at least five wins in their remaining seven games to be in contention for the playoffs.

Although CSK won the game and Dhoni was the star of it, bagging the Man of the Match award, the five-time champions might have been given a bit of a worry after Dhoni was seen walking uncomfortably in the team hotel. A video went viral on social media after the CSK vs LSG match, in which Dhoni can be observed walking gingerly.

Earlier, CSK coach Stephen Fleming had already stated that Dhoni isn’t fit enough to bat for a long time and also keep wickets.
Fleming had said about Dhoni’s knees, “MS judges it. His body is… his knees aren’t what they used to be. And he’s moving okay, but there’s still an attrition aspect to it. He can’t bat ten overs running full stick.”
CSK’s next match is against Mumbai Indians, whom they had defeated at home at the start of the season. This match will be played at the Wankhede on April 20.
