MI vs RR Match Highlights And Report-IPL
Trent Boult, who helped the Mumbai Indians win IPL 2020 with his new ball wickets, was decimating his former team here. And he did it in some style. First, he had Rohit Sharma outside edging with an away-swinger, and then Naman Dhir lbw with an inswinger; Brevis edged to short third-man.
From the other end, Nandre Burger dismissed Ishan Kishan with a Test-match length delivery, edging to Samson, as MI slipped to 20/4. Hardik, who was booed by the Wankhede crowd, was now getting cheered as he smacked six boundaries. He tried to go after Chahal but was caught at long-on. Hardik’s score of 34 (21) was the highest in MI.
Tilak Varma scored 32 runs off 29 balls, but he too couldn’t kick on, giving a catch to Ashwin at short third off Chahal, who completed his three-for with Coetzee’s wicket. Mumbai promoted Chawla over David to prevent the Aussie from Chahal, but the veteran was knocked over by Avesh Khan. Tim David’s dismissal in the 19th over, off Burger, meant MI could only reach 125 runs.

In reply, the Rajasthan top three didn’t score much—Jaiswal scored 10, Buttler scored 13, and Samson scored 12—but they got boundaries early on, and RR were 48/3 in 6.3 overs.
RR’s in-form man this season so far, Riyan Parag, then exhibited his exuberance, nonchalance, style, and shots to slam 5 fours and 3 sixes in his knock of 54* runs in 39 balls as he stayed till the end to take RR over the line with 27 balls to spare. For Mumbai, youngster Akash Madhwal impressed with a three-wicket haul.
Score Summary: Mumbai Indians 125/9 in 20 overs (Hardik Pandya 34, Yuzvendra Chahal 3/11); Rajasthan Royals 127/4 in 15.3 overs (Riyan Parag 54, Akash Madhwal 3/20). RR defeated MI by 6 wickets.
