“I’m sad to miss these important games against Uruguay and Brazil. I really wanted to play, but a small injury means I need to rest for a bit, so I can’t be there. I’ll be supporting and cheering from here like any other fan. Let’s go, Argentina”.
Argentina have two very important fixtures in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers against Uruguay and Brazil. These two fixtures are high-profile as the are the best teams in South America. Argentina’s match with Uruguay is on March 22 at the Centenario Stadium in Uruguay. They will go head-to-head with their greatest rival Brazil on March 26 at the Estadio Monumental Bunes Aires.
Argentina are in superior form in comparison to the other two teams and are leading the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers – CONMEBOL points table with 25 points from 12 matches. Uruguay sits at second with 20 points from the same amount of competition. Brazil on the other hand have been in terrible form as they sit fifth on the table with just 18 points.
