After the Oranje’s thrashing 4-0 over Iceland, Depay talked to the media and responded to the critics. The former Manchester United player said he doesn’t care about the noise as he feels good about his new look. Moreover, his girlfriend loves it. What else he needs?
Speaking to the media, Depay said:
“The previous match I made twenty minutes of time for the press in the mixed zone. And I haven’t had any questions about it. Who cares? Who cares? It looks great on me and helps me sweat.
“My girlfriend likes that sweatband. Amazing, right? It’s a new look and I feel good about it. I’m already thinking about what color I’m going to wear in Germany.”
The Netherlands whopped both Canada and Iceland 4-0 in the warm-up matches and will start their journey in EUROS when they meet Kylian Mbappe’s France on June 22 at the Red Bull Arena Leipzig. Netherlands will miss their star midfielder Frankie de Jong due to an ankle injury and PSV midfielder Jerdy Schouten will probably fill his shoes.
