Yesterday, RCB went to test their tusks with KKR, a match-up that was supposed to get fiery due to the drama that exists between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli. Fans expected that the angry Virat would bring out a banger of a performance, but somehow, the star failed to produce that impact, like any other RCB player, wasting too many balls as it was an ODI match. Kohli scored good runs (83) but it wasn’t a good innings in terms of the team requirement. The former captain took 59 balls to reach there.
RCB paid their price of batting slowly, as the 182 that they built batting first was brought down by KKR in just 16.5 overs.

Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar described RCB’s loss in the best way possible. The now commentator said that RCB getting 182 batting first was just like going to Louis Vuitton with a 20k budget, as both won’t work out well.
In the three matches so far, RCB could only win once, that too against Punjab Kings. They bent their knees at Chepauk in the inaugural match of the IPL against the defending champions, and now against KKR in their own fortress.
What’s Next for RCB?
RCB’s next match is against LSG on April 2, and they wouldn’t have to catch a flight because they will have to play on the same pitch where they just swallowed down a bitter defeat.
