Luke Wood is an English cricketer who plays for England and Lancashire. He is a left-arm fast-medium bowler and bats left-handed. He made his first-class debut for Nottinghamshire against Sussex in September 2014 and made his international debut in 2022.
In April 2022, he was bought by the Trent Rockets for The Hundred. In May 2022, he was named in England’s ODI squad for the series against the Netherlands. In September 2022, he was included in England’s T20I squad for the Pakistan series and made his T20I debut on 20 September 2022 against Pakistan.
On 18 March 2024, he signed for the Mumbai Indians as a replacement for Jason Behrendorff for ₹50 lakh (£45,000). On 21 March 2025, he signed with Woodhall Spa Cricket Club in the Lincolnshire Premier League when not on England white-ball duty.

Luke Wood earned a place on an ECB fast-bowling camp in South Africa in 2015 after taking 30 wickets in 11 Championship matches for Nottinghamshire. In the same season, he scored his maiden Championship hundred against Sussex in only his eighth innings.
In 2017, he won the T20 Blast title with Nottinghamshire in a treble-winning year. He won another T20 Blast medal in 2018 while on loan at Worcestershire. Luke Wood’s Personal Life
Luke Wood has built a reputation as a T20 specialist and has played in several franchise leagues around the world. He has featured in the Big Bash League, Bangladesh Premier League, Pakistan Super League, ILT20, and the Vitality T20 Blast. He has also played in all three editions of The Hundred and finished as a runner-up with Deccan Gladiators in the Abu Dhabi T10 League.
In T20 internationals, he made his debut for England against Pakistan in 2022 and took 3/24. He dismissed Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, and Naseem Shah in that match and was named Player of the Match, becoming the first England player to win the award on T20I debut.
