LSG vs GT Match Highlights And Report-IPL: After four losses against the Gujarat Titans in the last two seasons, the Lucknow Super Giants finally clinched their maiden win over the Titans.
Mayank Yadav, their tearaway pace sensation, had to leave the field due to an injury, after bowling one over, but Yash Thakur and Krunal Pandya stepped up to the job to defend 163 by a hefty margin of 33 runs.
This win also meant that Lucknow continued their winning streak, now extending to 13 matches, when defending a total of 160 or more. LSG have yet to lose a game after posting 160 or more runs on the board.

KL Rahul won the toss and elected to bat first. Umesh Yadav, after being pulled for a six by Quinton de Kock, bounced back to dismiss de Kock and Devdutt Padikkal, leaving LSG in early trouble at 18/2.
Captain Rahul, who scored 33 (31), and Marcus Stoinis steadied the ship with their partnership of 73 (62), which seemed slow for that stage, but as it proved later, it laid the platform for Badoni and Pooran to take LSG to a winning total.
Stoinis scored 58 (43) before Pooran slammed three sixes and Badoni hit three fours as LSG finished on 163.

In reply, Gujarat Titans got off to a good start, going unscathed in the powerplay, through a partnership of 54 (39) between Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, who opened in place of the injured W Saha. While Gill was conservative, scoring 19 runs in 21 balls, Sudharsan was all-class with his four boundaries in 31 (23).
However, once their 54-run stand was broken – via a terrific scrambled seam full-length delivery from Yash Thakur that castled Gill – Gujarat slipped. Ravi Bishnoi took a one-handed stunner to dismiss Williamson before Krunal got into the act with three wickets, those of Sudharsan, Sharath BR, and Darshan Nalkande.
Thakur returned to clean up the game and seal his five-wicket haul, which included the wickets of Vijay Shankar and Rahul Tewatia. Thakur picked up the first 5-for of IPL 2024. GT were bowled out for 130, collapsing from 54/0.
Score summary: Lucknow Super Giants 163/5 in 20 overs (Marcus Stoins 58, Umesh Yadav 2/22); Gujarat Titans 130/10 in 18.5 overs (Sai Sudharsan 31, Yash Thakur 5/30). LSG defeated GT by 33 runs.
