LSG Coach Gives Mayank Yadav Injury Update: Lucknow Super Giants’ sensational youngster Mayank Yadav has become a rising star in a blink after his blistering deliveries caused chaos in the IPL. The 21-year-old Delhi-born player clocked a record of 156.7, which is the fastest delivery in IPL history so far.
The player played 3 matches in the IPL thus far and bowled only two, and in those two matches, he didn’t allow anyone else to win the Player of the Match award. He was even in the discussion for the T20 World Cup selection. But unfortunately, a side strain has put him out of the rest of the matches. But on April 19, news about the return of Mayank were popping up on the internet, and LSG assistant coach Lance Klusener gave the latest update on his fitness.

Klusener said that Mayank has started bowling in the nets, but he cannot commit to whether he will play against CSK today. The coach revealed that the fitness of the player is the primary priority for him.
“I am not sure regarding his participation in tomorrow’s match against Chennai. He has been bowling in the nets, but his fitness is our priority,” Klusener stated,
Former Australian player Tom Moody thinks that Mayank Yadav will be in the conversation to be in India’s T20 World Cup 2024 squad.
“He is definitely in the conversation. Whether you take that risk punting on him or not is another conversation because you also need to consider what skillset you need in that reserve fast bowler – is it someone who is a powerplay bowler, or someone who has the ability to bowl at the death, all those subtle skillsets are important when you are talking about a T20 World Cup,” said Moody.
