Kylian Mbappe is struggling to fit into the talented Real Madrid squad. After scoring in the debut match for Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup final against Atalanta, Mbappe failed to score in the last three games for the mighty Whites. Real Madrid could only win one of them.
The latest is a 1-1 draw to Las Palmas on Thursday when Vinicius Jr scored the equalizer for the visitors in the 69th minute through a penalty. Las Palmas had scored the first goal five minutes into the game.
Kylian Mbappe Chose to be in French Squad: Deschamps
Mbappe has been having a very tight schedule. He had to take a flight to Madrid right after the Euros and now has been really busy with the tight schedule of the 15-time UCL winners. Despite all this, he was named in the squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League group stage fixtures. According to reports, Real Madrid told the French national team not to include the star player in their squad citing his busy schedule.
But French coach Didier Deschamps denied this and said that Mbappe is included in the squad due to his own request.
“I don’t know where you got this information from. I spoke with Kylian. What I can say is that there is always this problem of the calendar, a new format of the Champions League, especially after a big competition. There has not really been any preparation. The season is going to be very very long with a time slot at the beginning of June and the Club World Cup. The coaches are going to have to manage the players.
“He has only played three games in a new club with different players. There are automatisms to find. I found him in good shape with juice. After that he has always scored goals, he is there and it is his choice. He has everything to make it go well and even very very well.”
