KL Rahul to Return in the IND vs ENG 4th Test: Report
Reports suggest that Rahul has recovered from his quadriceps injury and is expected to be available for selection in the upcoming match starting on February 24 in Ranchi. It is confirmed by a top source in the BCCI.
“KL Rahul is doing fine and is about to gain full match fitness before the Ranchi Test. He will be available for the selection”, A top source in the BCCI management stated.
Rahul had missed the second and third Tests due to a quadriceps injury. While he was initially included in the squad for the last three Tests, his availability depended on his fitness. However, he couldn’t recover in time for the third Test, and Devdutt Padikkal was brought in as his replacement.
KL to Replace Patidar, Bumrah Might Rest
KL Rahul is likely to replace Rajat Patidar in the playing XI, with the latter not having a substantial impact in the series so far. Rahul is expected to bat at the No. 4 position.
In another development, premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will be rested for the third Test to manage his workload. Having bowled more than 80 overs in the previous three Tests, the team management aims to avoid any risks with Bumrah’s fitness.
