During the media day of day two of the ongoing SA vs IND first test, journalists brought this up and asked him if he wanted to respond to those trolls. His response was as tasteful as his hundred that he just scored.
“What will I achieve [by] doing that? Logon ko jo bolna hoga bolenge [People will say what they want to]. If you are a public performer, performance is your only yardstick to stay away from criticism.”
As per the KL Opens Up About Dealing With Trolls, He didn’t deny the fact that the criticisms hadn’t affected him. But he believes that staying away from them is the best thing that you could do to have a better mindset.
“One who is hailing me today was abusing me some months back. Anyone who says he isn’t affected by comments on social media is lying. But the more you stay away, the better it is for your mindset.”
