DC’s Khaleel Ahmed, who won the player of the match after taking 2 wickets in just 4 overs, including a maiden over, laughed about the crowd situation, saying that CSK plays all their matches on the home turf. He also owed respect to MS Dhoni.
“Firstly, let me tell you that the Chennai Super Kings play all their matches on home turf (laughs). We respect that advantage, enjoy it too, and have fun since Dhoni is our captain as well. A handful of Delhi supporters also attended the match to cheer us on, and likely left satisfied with the win,”
Khaleel said.
Khaleel said that the win brings a lot of positive energy to the squad, and the camp is in a very happy mood.
“After the win, everyone in the team is happy, and the camp mood is upbeat. Victory builds momentum, brings out our best, and reveals where we need to improve. The positive atmosphere has provided the answers we sought.”
