Kane Williamson Talks About Shubman Gill: Gujarat Titans may have two experienced captains in the likes of Kane Williamson and Rashid Khan. In fact, Rashid Khan was the vice-captain in the last two seasons for GT, where the team was the most dominant in the campaigns.
But still, GT gave the steering wheel to 22-year-old Shubman Gill, who doesn’t have captaincy experience in big tournaments.

When the media asked about Shubman Gill’s captaincy, Kane Williamson said that it’s a great opportunity for the youngster. He also added that Shubman is a ‘world-class player and a great thinker.’
“Obviously, a few changes in the camp. It’s a challenge for every team, there are adjustments to make. It is really an exciting opportunity for Shubman, a world-class player and a great thinker of the game as well. As a team, we are focusing on what’s in front of us in the roles that we have, and it is a fantastic support staff,”
Williamson told PTI
“They are quite clear in how they want to do things. And I am sure they will be a great support to Shubman and the direction of the team.”
Williamson added.
Shubman’s first test as a captain in the IPL will be against Hardik Pandya’s Mumbai Indians on March 24.
