Junaid Khan Takes Shot At IPL High Scoring Match: Former Pakistani pacer Junaid Khan has taken a shot at the Indian Premier League after Sunrisers Hyderabad broke the record of the highest score in an innings by a team in the league.
SRH took on Mumbai Indians in Match 8 of IPL 2024 on March 27 in Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
While batting first the home side got off to an excellent start, scoring 150 in just the 11th over. The side never took the foot off the pedal and reached a mammoth total of 277 in 20 overs, a new league record.

The previous record for the largest score in IPL was made by Royal Challengers Bengaluru when they scored 263 against Pune Warriors India in 2013.
Heinrich Klassen was the team’s highest run scorer, making 80 off 34 balls. Abhishek Sharma scored the fastest 50 in franchise history in 16 deliveries.
In response, Mumbai Indians too made a massive score, reaching 246 in 20 overs and losing by 31 runs. The match saw 523 runs being made in 40 overs, the most in IPL history.
Junaid Khan Takes Shot At IPL High Scoring Match
Junaid Khan, who has been capped 107 times by Pakistan and has taken 180 wickets, took to social media to mock the IPL and question the quality of the league after the record-breaking match.
The left-arm pacer took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote this –
“Flat pitches, small boundaries, quick outfield. This is called IPL A target of 278.”
After a 31-run win, Sunrisers Hyderabad are third on the table with two points in two matches. Mumbai Indians, after losing both of their matches so far, are ninth on the table.
SRH will take on Gujarat Titans in their next match on March 31 in Ahmedabad’ss Narendra Modi Stadium.
