Josh Hazlewood Contract
Josh Hazlewood returned to competitive cricket after recovering from injuries and signed a supplementary contract with Sydney Sixers for the 2025–26 season of the Big Bash League.
This type of contract allows a BBL team to bring in players who are already contracted with Cricket Australia but may not be available for the whole season because of national team duties. It helps teams add top players without using a main roster spot or spending much of their salary cap.
Hazlewood joined the Sixers for the remainder of the season after regaining full fitness. He had not played in the BBL since 2019 and has only ever represented the Sydney Sixers in the league.
