Jadon Sancho Likely Too Costly For Dortmund: The latest chapter in the Manchester United-Jadon Sancho saga has been written as the English club has set a transfer fee for the winger for the 2024 summer transfer window. And the valuation might just have made it impossible for Borussia Dortmund to buy the English star.
After years of rising tensions between Sancho and Man United manager Erik Ten Hag, which saw the 23-year-old being removed from the senior squad entirely, Jadon was sent to his former club Borussia Dortmund on loan on January 11, 2024.
Jadon Sancho, who was one of the highest touted young talents back during his first stint with Dortmund, is now showing his worth in Germany, having assisted two goals in three games before suffering a minor injury, with his long exile at United cited as a possible reason.
While he might be having a wonderful time at his former club, he is there just on a six-month loan, at least for now.
Football Insider has reported that Manchester United will possibly demand a transfer fee of 40-50 million Euros come the summer transfer window. While he has not played too much for the last few seasons, Sancho is still quite young and is undeniably talented, so this is a price some clubs might pay for him.
Jadon Sancho Likely Too Costly For Dortmund
One of the clubs that will likely not be the one paying that price for Jadon is Borussia Dortmund. The club’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl recently commented that the English star might not be back to the yellow and blacks permanently.
The probable reason behind that statement is the fact that Borussia Dortmund are not in the best financial situation currently and will most likely not be able to match the Red Devils valuation for Sancho.
The next few months at Dortmund will be very crucial for Jadon Sancho, who will be putting himself on showcase for likely suitors with his performances on the pitch.
