Jadeja Emotional Instagram Story with MS Dhoni: It seems that the criticism faced by Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, and the CSK team following their loss to Rajasthan Royals has affected the star CSK all-rounder, as Jadeja posted an emotional Instagram story.
CSK’s IPL 2025 campaign has gotten off to a shaky start. They scraped off for a win in their first match against Mumbai Indians, but then lost two consecutive matches—against RCB by 50 runs at home in Chepauk and against RR by six runs in Guwahati.
Dhoni has copped criticism recently. First, for batting at No. 9 against RCB when the chase was all but impossible. Then, against RR, he came in at No. 7 but was unable to collect boundaries along with Jadeja in the 17th and 18th overs, where CSK fell behind in the chase.
Jadeja scored 32* off 22, and Dhoni scored 16 off 11 balls. The duo failed to finish off the chase.

After the loss, with the scrutiny and debate surrounding MS Dhoni’s batting position, head coach Stephen Fleming made an interesting comment.
Fleming revealed that it is Dhoni who judges and decides his batting position according to the match situation, that is, the number of overs remaining in the innings. The CSK coach asserted that the 43-year-old Dhoni can’t bat for over 10 overs and hence has pigeonholed himself only to bat in the last few overs.
“Yeah, it’s a time thing. MS judges it. His body is… his knees aren’t what they used to be. And he’s moving okay, but there’s still an attrition aspect to it. He can’t bat ten overs running full stick. So he will gauge on the day what he can give us. If the game’s in the balance like today, he will go a little bit earlier, and he backs other players when other opportunities are up. So he’s balancing that,” Fleming said.
CSK’s next match is against Delhi Capitals on April 5 in Chennai.
