Jacob Bethell is an English cricketer who plays for the England cricket team and represents Warwickshire in domestic cricket. He made his international debut in September 2024 against Australia at the Rose Bowl in Southampton. In September 2025, he became England’s youngest-ever captain when he was appointed to lead the T20I side against Ireland.
Bethell played age-group cricket for Warwickshire and signed a three-year professional contract with the club in January 2021. He made his List A debut for Warwickshire against Glamorgan in the 2021 One-Day Cup on 22 July 2021 and his first-class debut against Yorkshire at Headingley on 12 September 2021.

Jacob Bethell’s Personal Life
Jacob Bethell was born and raised in Barbados and qualifies to play for the West Indies, but he chose to represent England after moving to the UK. He relocated at the age of 12 after receiving a cricket scholarship to Rugby School.
Cricket runs in his family. His grandfather, Arthur, played first-class cricket for Barbados, and his father, Graham, played youth cricket for the island. His talent was noticed at a young age in the Caribbean before his move to England.
