Ishan Kishan Scored 100 For SRH Vs RR
The Sunrisers, captained by Aussie Pat Cummins, opened the inning with their threatening duo of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head. They were the best opening duo in the competition last season. And the two took the attack to the bowlers and started scoring boundaries from the very first overs.
Abhishek was not long for the pitch today, scoring 24 off 11. By the time he got out, the tea was 45/1 in 3.1 overs. Sharma’s departure brought in Ishan Kishan. Making his debut for his new franchise. Kishan and Head came together only to increase the run rate, so much so that by the time the powerplay had ended, SRH had scored 96 runs.
Head ended up scoring a fine 67 off 31 as the score at his dismissal was 130/2 in the 10th over. From here, it was almost entirely the Ishan Kishan show. While the likes of Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klassen played good supporting innings, it was Kishan who took charge of scoring the majority of runs.
