Irfan Pathan Reacts To Mohammed Shami Viral Look: Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan reacts to Indian Cricket Team pace bowler Mohammed Shami’s new dapper look, which is going viral on social media.
Shami has been out of action since the 2023 World Cup. In that tournament, he was the highest wicket-taker, taking a whopping 24 wickets in seven games and playing a major role in India reaching the final of that tournament.
But the 34-year-old has been out since then. He missed the tour to South Africa following the World Cup and then underwent surgery on his Achilles tendon in February of this year.
The recovery window following that surgery was about six months. That meant that Shami missed the IPL for the Gujarat Titans and the 2024 T20 World Cup that the Men in Blue won.

While being away from the field while recovering, the pacer has been active on social media, sharing his life, giving updates on his recovery, and staying connected with his fans. He recently took to Instagram to post a picture of himself looking sharp in a white jacket.
At the time of writing, the post already has over 4.6 lakh likes and over 1600 comments. One of those comments is of India’s T20 World Cup-winning all-rounder Irfan Pathan, who seemed impressed by Shami’s fashionably awesome attire.
“Oh bhai bhai❤,” Pathan commented.
It was assumed a few months ago that Mohammed Shami would make his national team return on the India tour of Bangladesh. But for that to happen, it was crucial for him to return in time for the ongoing Duleep Trophy, which is being considered vital for the Test team selection for games against the Bangla Tigers.
With him not playing in the Duleep Trophy, his name is absent from the first game’s squad against Bangladesh, where the likes of Akash Deep and Yash Dayal are in and might make their red-ball debut for India.
As for Shami, he will likely return to competitive cricket in the Ranji Trophy, which is set to commence in October.
