Injury Update On Kylian Mbappe: Several Real Madrid players have provided an update on the team’s French superstar Kylian Mbappé’s injury, which might result in him missing the upcoming games for his club.
Mbappé recently played in Real’s recent game against Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League. He even scored the first goal of the match when he slotted the ball into the net in the 10th minute after a brilliant possession play by his team.

But then, about 10 minutes before halftime, the star striker appeared to have picked up a muscle injury as he went down without any contact. While he was able to get up and even walked on his own following the injury, he was no longer able to run and was thus substituted by Rodrygo in the 16th minute.
Following the game, which was a narrow 3-2 win for Los Blancos, team manager Carlo Ancelotti claimed that the injury was not too serious and was just the result of overload. He also claimed that Mbappe would return to the pitch before the next match.
But now, several of Kylian’s Madrid teammates had opened up about his discovery. First, Thibaut Courtois recently suggested that the injury is nothing serious, but the 25-year-old might miss his side’s upcoming La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano.
“Mbappé felt the muscle contracting. It doesn’t seem serious. We might lose him this weekend,” said Courtois.
Dani Carvajal, who is recovering from an ACL injury, also claimed that the injury is not too serious. He then went on to praise Kylian, saying,
“Kylian Mbappé? It doesn’t seem serious [the injury]. He is training very well; he has already scored a lot of goals despite the criticism.”
Finally, Moroccan international midfielder Brahim Diaz revealed that he hugged the Frenchman and said that his injury did not look too bad.
“Mbappé’s injury? I gave him a hug. I hope it’s nothing and just a knock,” said Diaz.
Since signing with Real Madrid in the summer of 2024, Kylian Mbappé has been a little underwhelming in the Madrid Whites, by his own lofty standards. In La Liga, he has scored nine and assisted on a goal in 15 matches. While in the UCL, he scored twice and assisted once in six games. Some even suggest that his inclusion in the squad is stifling the potential of the likes of Vinicius Jr. and Jude Bellingham.
