India Will Not Travel to Pakistan for Champions Trophy: India will not be traveling to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025. As per the report by the Indian Express, a BCCI source said that the stance of not playing in their neighboring country will continue to exist and will be the same for the upcoming Champions Trophy.

A BCCI source also said that they have communicated with Pakistan and asked to shift the matches of India to Dubai, citing security concerns.
“This has been our stance, and there is no reason to change that. We have written to them and asked them to shift our games to Dubai,” a source told Indian Express.
The Champions Trophy is expected to kickstart on February 19, 2025, in three different cities of Pakistan, namely Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi. The event will continue to occur until March 9.
The Champions Trophy will have the top 8 ranked teams in the world battling each other, and India vs Pakistan is expected to be the glamour match of the tournament. If the ICC agrees to India’s request, this will be a repetition of the Last Asia Cup, in which India’s matches were shifted to the UAE after BCCI requested the PCB and ICC.
But the recent discussions were showing a few positive signs of the Men in Blue traveling to Pakistan as Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met a month before for a meeting. Pakistan had also traveled to India in the 2023 ODI World Cup, and former Pakistan players were asking BCCI to let the team travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy.
But BCCI’s new revelation washes away the chances of both countries meeting in Pakistan.
