India Predicted XI For 1st IND vs BAN T20I: The India vs Bangladesh Test series ended in India’s favor by 2-0, as had been expected ahead of the start of the series, even though Bangladesh had been on a high after recording their maiden Test series win over Pakistan, that too in Pakistan. But India in home Test matches is a different beast altogether; they have not lost a single home Test series since 2013.
The action now moves into the shortest format. The IND vs BAN T20I series, which comprises three matches, will kick off on October 6. The first T20I will be played at the New Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium, Gwalior.
The Indian cricket team in the T20I series will have a completely different look from the XI they fielded in the Test series. This is because all the players from the Test squad have been given rest ahead of the three-Test series against New Zealand.
This opens up a lot of places in the playing XI. Suryakumar Yadav is the new full-time T20I captain, and he started his tenure with a 3-0 win over Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka. Hardik Pandya is back into action after being rested from the ODIs in Sri Lanka.

Abhishek Sharma, who blasted a century in his second T20I in Zimbabwe, is set to open. Alongside him, Sanju Samson is expected to open in the T20Is against Bangladesh.
Riyan Parag, who had a highly impressive white-ball tour of Sri Lanka, especially with the ball, would form the middle order with Shivam Dube and Pandya. Although Rinku Singh managed only two runs in Sri Lanka, he has a terrific T20I record and is India’s new designated finisher. So he should too get in the XI in the first IND vs BAN T20I.
Washington Sundar was the Man of the Series in Zimbabwe and produced a few good performances in Sri Lanka. So he would be the spin-bowling all-rounder in the side. Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh will continue to lead their respective bowling departments.
The Indian cricket team is expected to field at least one debutant in the 1st IND vs BAN T20I: one of Mayank Yadav or Harshit Rana is expected to make his debut in Gwalior. Given Mayank’s high pace that has got everyone excited, he could get the nod.
