India vs Afghanistan As it happened
India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first. Afghanistan openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran were dismissed cheaply, but number 3 Gulbadin Naib took the attack to the Indian bowlers. Even as he lost Azmatullah Omarzai and Mohammad Nabi at the other end, Naib kept going before being dismissed for 57 runs in 35 balls by Axar Patel.
At 134/6, it felt Afghanistan might end up with a sub-150 score, but cameos from Karim Janat (20 runs in 10 balls) and Mujeeb Ur Rahman (21 runs in 9 balls) took them to 172, which was still less than a par winning score on a flat pitch and small boundary dimensions in Indore. Arshdeep Singh snapped 3 wickets while Bishnoi and Axar took two wickets each.
