Humankind to perform at the RCB Unbox On March 17: Indian hip-hop artist Hanumankind will do a feature performance at the RCB Unbox event ahead of IPL 2025 on March 17.
RCB Unbox is an annual event organised by the Indian Premier League team Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their home ground of the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. For the past couple of years, this show has been the site of RCB showcasing their jersey for the coming IPL season. But the show is much more than that.

Having started in 2022, the ‘Unbox’ event is where fans can see their favourite RCB stars in a few practice sessions. There is obviously the jersey launch. Another feature of these events is the induction of the Hall of Famers. RCB is the only IPL franchise that has a Hall of Fame, and that is where the inductees are announced. So far, AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle, and Vinay Kumar have been inducted.
This year will be the fourth RCB Unbox event, and apart from all the cricket-related things fans can enjoy this season, there will also be a few musical performances. There will be an ensemble of performances this year. Kannada rapper and producer All Ok, popular Indian DJ Chetan, traditional music band Savaari, another Indian band in Best Kept Secret, and Mic jockey of the night MJ Rakesh.
But the main event of musical performances on the night will be rapper Hanumankind. The Indian-born rapper spent a lot of his youth in the US. Real name Sooraj Cherukut, he named himself by combining the words humankind and Hindu deity Hanuman.
Hanumankind found international success and popularity with his breakout single ‘Big Dawgs,’ which entered the top 10 in the Billboard Top 100 charts and has over 200 million views on YouTube.
His latest single, ‘Run It Up,’ is doing big numbers as well, making him a great choice to headline an Indian event with global appeal like RCB Unbox on March 15.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru, captained by Rajat Patidar this season, will commence their IPL 2025 on the opening day itself when they take on defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening game of the season on March 22 in the Eden Gardens.
