Jaiswal’s knock, however, went in vain as MI chased down the target of 213 with three balls left. Nonetheless, it was a great knock from the left-handed opener, and his 124 is the joint-highest individual score by a Rajasthan Royals batsman.
4. Murali Vijay – 127 vs RR, 2010
Going back to IPL 2010, when Murali Vijay starred in CSK’s maiden IPL title-winning campaign, the elegant Tamil Nadu batsman creamed a brilliant century against Rajasthan Royals at the Chepauk in Chennai.
Vijay scored 127 runs, the highest score by a CSK batsman in the IPL to date, off 56 balls, cracking eight fours and 11 sixes, propelling CSK’s total to 246.
3. Rishabh Pant – 128* vs SRH, 2018
Rishabh Pant’s maiden and so far only IPL century came in the early years of his IPL career when he blasted 128* off 63 balls against SRH while batting for Delhi in 2018 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Against a bowling attack that included Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan, Pant hammered 15 fours and 7 sixes. Yet, DC eventually lost the match.

Shubman Gill produced one of the best knocks in IPL playoffs when he notched up a century against the Mumbai Indians in the Qualifier 2 in 2023. Opening for Gujarat Titans at their home ground in Ahmedabad, Gill walloped 7 fours and 10 sixes to boost GT’s total to 233, which they managed to defend and enter the final.
1. KL Rahul – 132* vs RCB, 2020
The highest score by an Indian batsman in IPL belongs to KL Rahul for his knock of 132* runs while playing for Punjab Kings (then Kings XI Punjab) against his former franchise RCB in Dubai in IPL 2020.
In a sparkling display of class, timing, and power, Rahul hit 14 fours and 7 sixes to finish with 132* off 69 balls, his side finishing at a total of 206. Punjab won by a huge margin of 97 runs.
